Submit a Late-Breaking Poster
Late-Breaking Poster Submissions
Late-Breaking Poster Submissions allows for the presentations of posters at the annual CNS meeting whose data was collected or analyzed after the official abstract deadline. A late-breaking poster should contain new information. It should be composed of results that were not yet known, or fully available, on the previous poster submission deadline, December 6, 2024. See additional Late-Breaking Submission Requirements below.
Late-Breaking Poster submissions will open January 23rd and close February 6, 2025 (midnight, last time zone on earth) which is approximately 5am February 7th, PST.
Sketchpad Series
(Submission of research not yet completed)
This year, CNS is piloting a new type of late-breaking poster submission that we are calling the Sketchpad Series. The Sketchpad Series allows the submission of abstracts whose research is not yet completed. This allows presenters to solicit input regarding planned work or work in progress. These posters will describe the motivation and design of the study and discuss how potential outcomes would be interpreted. Pilot data, partially collected data, or partially analyzed data may be included. Abstracts should highlight the preliminary nature of the findings. Abstracts in the Sketchpad Series may not necessarily include all the standard elements as listed under Poster Format below.
To submit a Sketchpad Series poster, simply check the "Sketchpad Series" checkbox while making a Late-Breaking Poster submission.
Late-Breaking Submission Requirements
- No changes can be made to posters following their final submission
- You can only submit a Late-Breaking Poster if you have not previously submitted a poster.

- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

Poster Format
Abstracts are limited to 250 words. This does not include title, authors, and affiliations.
Your abstract should consist of an introduction, methods and results sections, and a conclusion. It is not required that the sections be explicitly labeled as such. It is, however, important that each abstract contains sufficiently detailed descriptions of the methods and the results.
Please do not submit an abstract of work that you are planning to do or work without sufficient results to reach a clear conclusion. Such abstracts will not be accepted.
Please complete your submission carefully. All abstracts must be in final form. Abstracts are not proofread or corrected in any way prior to publication. Typos and other errors cannot be corrected after the deadline. You may edit your abstract as much as you like until the submission deadline.

You must be a current CNS member to submit a Late-Breaking Poster abstract. You can join or renew your membership from your CNS Account. You can create a CNS Account as a Non-Member, but you will be limited to meeting registration only; non-members cannot make abstract submissions.
