CNS 30th Anniversary (CNS 2023) Meeting FAQ

First Author Registration Requirements

Registration is required for first authors of accepted posters, slides, and symposia. If you are the first author of an accepted abstract, your registration cannot be refunded. If the first author is unable to attend the meeting and would like to appoint a substitute speaker/presenter, contact us at submissions@cogneurosociety.org for final approval. The substitute author must also register to attend the meeting.

Registration Payment Policy

Full payment of the registration fee must be made at the time of registration. Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), check (made payable to "CNS Annual Meeting" and must be in US funds and drawn on a US bank). Check payments delay processing and must be received no later than March 1, 2023; include a printout of your CNS Annual Registration payment form along with your payment and mail to: CNS Meeting, c/o Amy Miller 971 West Campus Ln., Goleta, CA, 93117. Cash payments should not be sent through the mail.

I need to cancel my CNS 2023 Annual Meeting registration. Can I get a refund?

You must contact us no later than February 10, 2023, to cancel your registration for the CNS 2023 Annual Meeting. For cancellations made by February 10, 2023, your registration fee will be refunded less a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for registration cancellations made after February 10, 2023. Registration Cancellation requests must identify the registrant's name, email address, membership level, and amount paid. Send cancellation requests to registration@cogneurosociety.org.

Registration Confirmation

Confirmation of your registration is sent via email immediately upon receipt of payment address in your membership account. Please SAVE YOUR RECEIPT and print it for your reference, information and reimbursements.

As a final confirmation and conference reminder, an instructional email will be sent to you the week prior to the start of the virtual meeting with details on how to login to our online event and any final instructions.

Registration Substitution

Registrant substitutions of equal membership levels (from student-to-student or member-to-member/student) will be accepted ONLY with the written permission of the original registrant and with the approval of CNS Meeting management. Substitutions will not be accepted in lieu of the First Author Requirements nor can we accommodate any substitution requests after March 1, 2023.

Substitution requests must come from the original registrant and include the original registrant's name, membership level, and amount paid, plus the replacement attendee's email, full name, and affiliation. Send registration substitution requests to registration@cogneurosociety.org.

The Cognitive Neuroscience Society (CNS) is an international society that values diversity and global collaboration as cornerstones of the scientific process. CNS stands with the Society for Neuroscience, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and other professional and scientific societies in opposing the recent White House executive order on visas and immigration. This order poses a threat to the free exchange of ideas among scientists in the international community, and threatens the health of scientific progress in the United States and with our partners. We support our members and all scientists living around the globe. We urge the administration to work with the scientific community to ensure that U.S. science advances as it has historically, with the full engagement of the global community.

• Full Refunds will be issued to those directly affected by the ban. The countries included are Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. A photo copy of your passport will be required.
