Go for a trolley ride, visit Alcatraz, and take in world-class cognitive science talks when you visit San Francisco for CNS 2017. From March 25-28, 2017, more than 1,500 cognitive neuroscientists will gather to discuss the latest research on memory, language, aging, learning, and more in 50 talks and more than 1,000 poster sessions.
New this year: Big Ideas in Human Neuroscience, co-sponsored by CNS and the Max Plank Institute. Led by David Poeppel (Max-Planck-Institute & NYU) and Mike Gazzaniga (UC Santa Barbara), the session will feature three pairs of speakers discussing and debating three foundational themes in cognitive neuroscience: memory, language, and motor control/action. Stay tuned for more info on that in the coming weeks!

Don’t miss: Adam Gazzaley (UCSF) will deliver the public (and free) keynote address about the integration of custom-designed video games with various technology (e.g. virtual reality, mobile EEG, smartwatches, tDCS) to achieve meaningful and sustainable cognitive enhancement.
Invited symposia this year include such diverse topics as the adolescent brain and hearing, speech, and language. The symposium sessions, selected with the help of CNS members, include new research on working memory, real-world neuroscience experiments, links between genetics and cognitive neuroscience, and more.
